On Wednesday, a shooting incident took place in Diamond Harbor district, West Bengal, where a notorious criminal named Altab Uddin, also known as Hultar, was allegedly shot at by a miscreant named Shobharaj Gazi.
According to police sources, Altab and his partner Atiyar Rahman were on their way back from giving evidence at the Alipore court when the incident occurred. They had gotten off the train at Bajaj station and were travelling on a bike to Chandipur when Shobharaj reportedly blocked their path and fired at Altab, causing him to fall off the bike.
Altab was rushed to a local nursing home, but his condition deteriorated and he had to be transferred to Kolkata for further treatment. It has been reported that Altab sustained a bullet wound on his face.
While the police are investigating the incident and scanning CCTV footage, Altab has claimed that the shooting was a political retaliation.
